How We Got Here
Kylee’s freshman-year roommate invited her to a party at her boyfriend’s house—with a secret agenda: setting the two of them up. Little did she know, Kylee had just gotten out of a relationship with a cocky wrestler—and Dylan was exactly that type. When they first arrived at the party, Dylan seemed a little standoffish, so Kylee didn’t want to push anything after being introduced. This led Dylan to think she didn’t like him because she thought he was short (which wasn’t true). After the night ended and the next day began, Kylee’s roommate told her that Dylan hadn’t remembered her name and had decided to nickname her “Forehead” (pot, meet kettle). After an awkward “date” set up by both of their roommates, they mutually decided they wanted nothing to do with each other… that is, until consistent exposure to each other forced them to become friends.
Dylan
Dylan works in sales at the local radio station, where he gets to combine his creativity and community focus by writing ads for local businesses—his favorite part of the job. He’s also a DJ on The Moose and spins house and EDM sets on weekend nights. Dylan has never met a stranger; he’s incredibly friendly, personable, and always makes people feel seen and cared for. He has a huge heart, a gift for making others feel safe and understood, and—fun fact—he can bark like a dog so convincingly it’s kind of wild.
Kylee
Kylee is the Executive Office Administrator at The Downtown Vineyard Church, where her love for planning, organizing, and ministry all come together. She’s passionate about worship and finds deep joy in sharing God’s presence through music. Kylee is insightful, magnetic, and naturally helpful and once you really get to know her, her goofiness comes out in the best way. She’s the yin to Dylan’s yang and keeps things light with spontaneous impressions and a whole lot of heart.
